Kick Off Reception On December 7, 2008 more than 400 runners, patient families and friends gathered at the Newton Marriott for the 2009 Mile for Miracles Team Boston kick off reception. For many, it was the first time they had met their runner or patient partner. Seeing the smiles on the children’s faces and the pride in the runners’ eyes made everyone excited about the journey they were beginning. What a wonderful day! It was a day for celebrating and thanking everyone for their support, commitment and hard work.
