I am fundraising for Children's Hospital!

Dear Family and Friends,

I am participating in the Miles for Miracles program at Children's Hospital Boston and would like to ask for your help. As many of you know, I had a life saving operation at Children's when I was only two days old and spent my first three weeks there in the NICU and surgical ward. Since then, Mom and Dad and Linda keep taking me back for outpatient services at the hospital and to utilize the hospital's wonderful Down Syndrome program. I have many friends who have benefited from the wide variety of world class services and treatments they offer and I am excited to help support all of these efforts.

I am incredibly honored to be paired as a patient partner with Kristine Lilly, who will be running her first marathon. For any of you who don't know her, Kristine just retired from the US Women's soccer team earlier this year. She is a two time World Cup champion, a two time Olympic gold medalist and the most capped player in history, male or female. (Check out my picture with Kristine. You can tell that she is a pro at wearing medals while I only wore mine for the pictures).She is an amazing athlete, who helped make US soccer as popular as it is and spends time working with young players as a coach and mentor. She also visits Children's hospital to spend time with patients and their families. You can see the smiles on their faces at her website, Kristinelilly13.com.
