Marlborough Triathlon for Team Children’s
On July 26th, 2009 Olympian Jarrod Shoemaker and his coach Tim Crowley hosted the 1st Annual Marlborough Triathlon to benefit Children's Hospital Boston. The team raised $10,000. We're aiming to raise more in 2010 - and will, with your help! Please check back to this site at the beginning of the New Year for more information on how to apply to our team. Go the Distance for Children’s Hospital Boston!
At Children’s Hospital Boston we change lives with world-class care and research. No child is too sick, no challenge too difficult for our dedicated team of medical professionals to tackle. We are the place of “yes” and we will go the full distance every time to find new ways to treat and cure disease. Yet, children are not tiny adults! They need more time, extra monitoring, specialized medications, and caregivers with the skills and compassion to understand the needs of children. In the best of times, pediatric care is expensive. In economic times like these, it is even more difficult to care for the children and families who increasingly need our help. This is why we need you to go the distance with us while you go the distance in the Marlborough Triathlon. Whether a novice or a fierce competitor, as an individual or part of a team, you can bring focus to your training while also making a difference for the kids at Children’s Hospital.
