Children Helping Children’s! There are several ways kids can help the kids at Children’s Hospital Boston get better as part of NSTAR’s Walk for Children’s Hospital Boston. The Change Bandit Program is a powerful way for your child to participate in NSTAR’s Walk for Children’s Hospital Boston. Kids sign up to be Change “Bandits” and collect coins from family, friends and classmates. They literally collect change for change! This program gives everyone, from a small child to an entire family or group, an opportunity to have fun and involve their friends, while raising money for patients at Children’s Hospital Boston. Money raised by walkers will count towards their individual fundraising goal. For more detailed information see the flyer below. Change Bandit Flyer Child Ambassador Program The Child Ambassador Program brings the special spirit of Children’s Hospital Boston onto the paths of the Boston Esplanade. A Child Ambassador is a youngster (age 6–16) who knows from the inside-out just how incredible Children’s is, and is eager to “give back” to the Children’s Hospital community. She or he will have a front-and-center role, with special responsibilities both on walk day and in the pre-and post-event publicity. The ambassador should be a creative, charismatic, and enthusiastic youngster who inspires others to get involved as volunteers and donors. To nominate a child, download and complete the nomination form and email it to walk@chtrust.org or fax it to 617-355-6530. The deadline for nominations is Friday, May 1st. MEET 2008 CHILD AMBASSADORS » 7-Mile Marker Kids Every mile of NSTAR’s Walk for Children’s will honor a special child treated at Children’s Hospital Boston. Their courage and resilience remind us why we walk: we walk to keep kids healthy and provide the best care in the world to every sick and injured child who walks through our doors.
